Welcome to the brand new CollegeRoad.ie website, from the UCC Students' Union. Last year we launched the website to a great reaction from the Student population, and this summer we get to do it all over again with a total refresh to the website. We learned a lot from students last year about what they'd like to see on the website, and we hope you're really going to love what you see.

In the past 12 months CollegeRoad.ie seen over 72,000 visits have with each visit looking at around 6 pages, meaning about 300,000 page impressions. This is fantastic and we hope that our new upgrades will give you more reasons to come back again and again!

Here is a rundown of the newest features on the site.

Redesigned Layout

The first thing you will notice (hopefully at least) is the great new layout and design for the entire website. The new blue and silver design covers the entire website and is nice and soothing on the eyes! Many pages are up to 50% faster to load than the previous site, and this website is more compatible with all popular browsers than the previous, so its a win-win situation!

The website has an all new navigation which which will help you get to what you need faster. All the links are off the top navigation bar and the side navigation is also simplified and easier to follow. All of the sections feature nice icons and colours so you can get what you need faster, time is often of the essence and there's nothing worst than not being able to find what you need! Not anymore with the new website!

CollegeRoad.ie also features a brand new live search to help you get specific information faster. If you don't know where an article is on the website, or are looking for a page featuring other information, simply type in a search phrase and it will give you results as soon as you start typing.

Blogs, Facebook & Twitter

On the new website you can stay connected to what's happening better than ever before. You can become a fan on Facebook and receive up to the minute updates and great offers from the Students' Union. You can also follow each of the sabbatical officers on Twitter (links to their twitter accounts are featured on the main menu) and se favourite e what they're doing for students in UCC.

The main blog feed is also RSS enabled, so you can follow our announcements and updates in your RSS reader and always stay on top of the information.

Other sections of the website (including Clubs and Societies) feature Facebook and Twitter integration, so keep an eye out.

New Clubs & Societies Sections

Both the Clubs and Societies sections have been totally redesigned too. You can now stay up to date on the latest news for each, find all the clubs and societies, view their galleries, administration sections, contact details and information on their executive committees.

Both sections are also Facebook/Twitter enabled for your enjoyment!

New Calendars and YouTube Videos

You will also be able to take advantage of our new calendar page, you can view all upcoming events and add them to your own Google Calendar so you won't forget! You will find all Union, Societies and Clubs events.

Also, you can find our latest videos from YouTube embedded on the website. The videos cover everything from the SU including Blogs, Speeches, Events and more.

We also have included brand new galleries for the Students' Union, Societies and Clubs (Coming Soon). Get the latest pictures from the latest events here and on Facebook.
