Constitutional Review Process

In late 2006 UCC Students' Union undertook a 2 year constitutional review. Reporting regularly to Council an initial committee and then second body of students under the Chairmanship of Cathal Kerrigan produced drafts of a consitution with for approval by the Students of UCC in a referendum in 2008.

The result of  this long process was a document which sought to make improvements upon the existing constitution by amalgamating the ideas and views of as many students and former members as possible. The hope is that this new text represent the aspirations of a diverse student body and will offer assistance in providing a body suitable for the changing needs of UCC Students going into the future.
