UCC Students’ Second hand Book Service

UCC Students’ Union operate a second hand text book service from our offices at 54 College Rd, providing students with a cost-effective opportunity to purchase required textbooks significantly lower than new book prices and/or to sell current texts for a reasonable return.

Selling Books:

Bring in your books, complete a short form and leave the rest to us. When sales are made, you will be informed by email and requested to come and collect the proceeds.  The selling price is determined by the seller (recommended selling price:   no more than two-thirds of cost price, less for older editions).

A 10% administration charge is deducted on sale of your book/s to cover administrative costs.

Please help the Second hand Bookshop by checking if the books you want to sell are current before putting them on sale.

Buying Books:

Before you buy your books brand new, check if they can be bought second hand. You will save at least 30% of what you would pay for a new book. Unfortunately we don’t have space in the office for you to browse through our stock so just call to the office to check if we have the books you require.
