  • To submit documentation, such as official Birth Certificate/Marriage Certificate/Passport
  • To change your name on your student record

Disability Support


The aim of the Disability Support Service is, the affirmation of the ability of students with disabilities to pursue their chosen studies at degree and postgraduate levels, to integrate students with disabilities in all areas of life at U.C.C. and to raise awareness of rights and needs of persons with disabilities throughout College and the wider community.


 

Students who use the service include students who are visually impaired, hearing impaired, students with mobility difficulties including dyslexia, students with hidden disabilities such as mental health problems, epilepsy and other significant on-going illnesses.

Why might you need to visit the Fees Office?

  • To enquire about your fees status or fee payment.
  • To collect Higher Education Grant cheques.
  • To query the different type of funding available.
  • To get a receipt of fees paid.
  • To collect a Bank Giro to pay fees (only if you have not already requested it during on-line registration).
  • To get a letter of grant award stamped.
  • To determine whether your application status is EU or non - EU.
International Students

International students help make UCC what it is, a fantastic place to study and socialize. We in UCCSU are here to help you integrate and get the most out of your international experience whilst studying with us - whether thats for your full degree or just a term. If you have any issue problem or questions come to us and we will do our best to help. Remember you are either a full or associate member of UCCSU too and we are delighted to represent you.

 

Iona Chaplaincy

 

Iona offers a range of supports for students. It is opened to all religions and provides a supportive presence across campus. It is Iona that is the point of reference and resource for the creative, liturgical and prayer life of the Honan Chapel.

Why might you need to visit the Mature Student Office?

  • To get help, support, advice and information
  • To enquire about workshops which are designed to prepare you for the challenge of entering university for the first time as a mature student.

Student Counselling & Development

The chief aim is to: "to enable students to maximize their personal, social, academic and career potential in a safe and supportive environment."

  • They provide a full range of personal counselling services at our rooms .

  • Students may avail of support and learning opportunities through workshops and seminars.

  • Counselling provides a safe place where you can come and talk, in a relaxed and private atmosphere, about any personal or academic concern, which may be troubling you.

Student Health Centre

 


If a Students are worried about a health problem or any related problems, all they need do is call this service on 021-4902311 or call to the department where the receptionist will make an appointment for them. If they are acutely ill on the day, they will be triaged by the nurse and if necessary seen by the doctor as soon as possible.
