Entertainments Officer

Role of officer:

Sam is tasked with organising all Student Union Entertainments in conjunction with the Students’ Union Entertainments Manager.

Sam sits on the Student Union Executive and a number of different UCC committees including; the Old Bar Committee and the Committee to Improve Campus Life.

Sam is also responsible for the Entertainment Class Reps.


Postgraduate Officer

John is responsible for all policy relating to postgraduate students and represents the issues faced by postgraduate students across the University.

John is also a member of Governing Body and the Joint Board for the Student Experience.

Role of officer:

Seán is the Union’s officer responsible for the promotion and inclusion of the Irish language in UCC. Seán organises a number of different cultural events throughout the year and is in charge of implementing SU policy in relation to the National Language.

Hazel is the Chair of the Union’s Council. SU Council is the representative body of the Union made up of all the elected class representatives and meets each month to discuss issues affecting students in an open forum. Hazel is tasked with organising all aspects of SU Council in conjunction with the Education Officer and acts as chairperson for each meeting of the council.

Trish is responsible for all of the University’s societies and ensuring they are adequately facilitated and resourced. She represents them on a number of University Committees including the Old Bar Committee and the Joint Board for the Student Experience. Trish is the head of the autonomous wing of the Union tasked with regulating societies. This is called the Societies Guild Executive.
